A SHA256 checksum is a unique cryptographic signature of the installer file. It allows you to verify that the file you downloaded has not been corrupted or tampered with during transmission.

On Windows, open PowerShell and run: Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 .\path_to_setup.exe. Compare the output hash string with the SHA256 checksum listed on our download page. If they match exactly, your file is safe and intact.

When an update is released, you will receive a notification inside MESH Video Editor. Download the latest installer version, run the setup file, and it will automatically overwrite your older version while keeping your projects and preferences intact.

Yes. MESH projects (.mesh folders) created in older versions (v1.0.0+) are fully backward-compatible and will open cleanly in the latest v1.5.0 editor. However, projects saved in newer versions might not open in older software builds due to new timeline features.

The MESH installer sets up the editing framework. Upon first launch of subtitle or voice synthesis features, the app will offer to download the necessary models to your local disk, caching them inside D:\MESH_Resources\ for future offline usage.

Yes. You can customize the resource and proxy cache paths in the MESH editor's Settings menu under "Paths & Directories". Make sure the target disk has sufficient storage space.

No. MESH runs completely offline once activated. It will only validate the license periodically (e.g., 30-day grace period).

Ensure you have the latest NVIDIA Studio or AMD Radeon drivers installed. In MESH settings, make sure GPU encoding/decoding boxes are checked. NVIDIA RTX graphics cards are highly recommended for AI features.
